I didn't want to take the time to get involved in geneology today, however, was thinking of McFeely's and read your inquiry on Elizabeth Hawk and thought my Mother had left a note on this.Sure enough, here it is!
Edward McFeely came to America in 1754 and was wounded in Braddocks defeat in 1755.He returned to Ireland and was married in Londondale. His wife's relatives fought with King William at the battle of the Boyne, 1690.He returned to America and settled in Huntingdon Co., PAHad one son, John McFeely who married Elizabeth Hawk on a rock in the middle of the Susquehanna River at Harpers Ferry, PA.She was the daughter of Elijah Hawk. Her father was a commissary officer in the Continental Army.
Interesting!!
