Samuel McFerren married Sarah Coulter in 1801 in Fayette Co., PA. They moved to Jefferson Co., OH in 1811. Sarah died in 1864, and Samuel in 1865, both in Hoskinville, in Noble County, OH. They had 9 children that I know of, including Thomas.
I BELIEVE (at this point I am not certain) that Samuel's parents were Robert McFerren (b1751) and Jane McCraken (b1762). I may be that Jane is Robert's 2nd wife and not Samuel's mother. Robert's parents were William McFerren (b1729) and Jane Williams. Jane McCraken's father was William McCraken (b1730). I do not know the name of her mother.
Sarah Coulter's parents were Thomas W. Coulter (b 2 Jan 1735, d 21 dec 1814) and Lydia Elizabeth Comwell (b 10 Jun 1743, d 8 apr 1834). Sarah's tree is outlined extensively at www.coulterfamily.com/elanor_coulter.htm.
