Martin McGarry(b1878) was the brother of my maternal grandfather Stephen McGarry(b1871). Their parents were Martin McGarry(b1843?)and Anne Mulkeen(b1842). Their Paternal grandfather was Thomas McGarry. Their maternal grandparents were John Mulkeen(b1813)andMary Boyle(b1835?).
Their siblings include Thomas(b1865), John(b1868), Pat (b1870), Mary(b1873), Ellen(b1876), Anne(b1881), and Catherine(b1883). Martin(b1878) married Mary in 1909. Josephine(b1922-d1990) (Sr. Mary Luke) was their daughter. She was missioned in San Antonio, Texas and died there.
Notes: 1) Information mostly from transcribed Baptismal records from Bekan Parish. 2) The "family" home (now rubble) in Ireland was in the "Cloontumper" section of Bekan, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo. 3) Stephen McGarry immigrated to Boston, MA circa 1900 and settled in Brockton, MA. He died by accident in 1915 leaving 6 children - one of whom was my mother!
