St. Charles (Kane County, Illinois) Chronicle, Jan. 20, 1904, All Over The County: Miss Mabel D. McGarry, an Elgin girl, a former student at the Elgin high school, and seventeen years of age, was married Monday at Baltimore, Md., to Hydesaburo Ohasi, a Japanese prince, worth a million dollars, a scholar, and a writer. As soon as Mr. Ohasi returns to Japan, accompanied by his bride, to sell his vast estate he will return to New York to make his future home. The Rev. Chilton Powell, of Chicago, performed the ceremony. (Posted as a courtesy, not related.)
