OMG! I just found this..Scenario: between 1850 & 1880,James was at Eagle Mills Twnshp, Vinton Co., OH, w/spouse Mary. This was the location of the McGhee family farm. James 37, b VA, Mary 33 b VA. Seven ch: Nancy, Sarah, Alary, William, Jesse,Margaret (Meg) & Clarissa, all b OH. Other names appear later, perhaps grandchildren or neighbor children in household with them. By 1870, Clarissa marr & left home. When Clarissa moved to Smith Co., KA, in 1877, the McGhee parents were left behind. Meg marr a Graves & went to KA also & homesteaded a few miles away. Her spouse was in the civil war, OH Inf 1862, bur Smith Co., KA. In 1880, he farmed at Pawnee Twnshp, Smith Co., KA. Another McGhee dau marr an Abbott, I don't know which one this was. Beyond this, I know no further history, except names of possible McGhee siblings. You can contact me at my email
