John Davison McGILL 1879-1962 Blantyre, Scotland to Greensburg, PA, USA
Seeking help w/untangling the John McGILLs in Westmoreland Co PA - two came on same ship Ethiopia in 1886, port NY w/parents - abt same age, possible 1st cousins - these families were:
McGILL, Donald ae31, Isabella ae29, Janet ae9, John ae7, Isabella ae4, Agnes ae1y8m -- and --
W or Wm ae29, Janet ae26, John ae4, Andrew ae2y6m, Janet ae1y4m, William ae3m.
I'm seeking proof on Donald's son - at least I believe this is the John. Per his WW I Draft Regis, as John McGILL, he lists mother: Isabella; per his WW II Regis, as John Davison McGILL, he lists wife Olive M. - on both records, his birthdate as: 13 Nov 1877, WW II listed birthplace as Blantyre, Scotland.
IF all of above is accurate, I'm seeking proof of (1) marriage (prob. aft.1930- bef 1942, Hempfield twp, Westmoreland Co PA) to Olive M. MECHLING, and (2) full death records of both - I have 1962, bur South Greensburg PA, wife: 1969, bur So Gr'g PA. Looking forward to hearing from others.
