HI! i'm looking for a Reese McGill born about 1790?

Could he possibly be the father of yours? His family was in the Monongalia VA/WV area. The children's name you list are consistant with the siblings i have for this family. The Reese i have, is said to have had a wife by the name of Elizabeth.

i don't know the ares of VA/WV but several relatives were also in a Preston Co WV and in Ohio and IN also.

IF you can tie your Reese in, his parents may be Hannah Hastings and Charles McGill. There were 10 children, tho i don't know the order of them, they were: Job, John, Adam, Andrew, Charles, Hugh, Mary, Reese, Hannah and David.

Hannah's brother and uncle and several 1st cousins were named Reese as her grandmother was Mary Rees married to Job Hastings.
The name Rees/Reese continues in most all of the allied families.

Several of these families can be found in various Quaker records thru the 1700's and early 1800's.

Have a great day and good luck with your research!
