I am looking to establish the father of John Stirling (b. Renfrewshire, Scotland, 29/06/1874), illegitimate son of Marion Stirling (b.1854), who later went on to marry John McGill in 1879.
John Stirling became John Stirling McGill and the surname McGill has remained ever since.
Does anyone have information regarding the true male blood line?
