Nice to hear from you again.
I wrote letters trying to get Quaker records and heard nothing back.
I do not remember seeing "Samuel" when I checked the 1850 census many years ago but I don't remember a lot of things at my age. At any rate, in the pension records at the National Archives for the Civil War, Samuel is not listed as one of Reese's children.
I have had no success in discovering the parents of Reese (b. 1819). I have come across conflicting statements as to where he was born: Maryland, Pennsylvania,and Virgina/West Virginia.
