William McGill, b. ca 1808 TN, m. Martha J. Green, b. 1843-1845 LA (probably Claiborne Parish, LA) on 12 Feb 1865 in Ashley Co., AR.

I am searching for their parents and descendants in an effort to determine if this Martha Green is a distant relative of mine through my WISE tree.

My Martha J. Green was the d/o David Green of MS and Nancy Jane Wise of Marion District, SC.

After David Green died, Nancy m. Hugh Slater ca 1846, and they were on the 1860 Ashley Co., AR, census with her Green children and their children.

I have not been able to find William and Martha McGill on the 1870 census yet. He was on the 1860 Ashley Co., AR, census with his wife, Lucy, and their children.

Martha McGill, 33, widow, is found on the 1880 Ward 2, Morehouse Parish, LA, census with daugher, Anna McGill, 2, b. LA. Martha is a servant in the HH of Jefferson D. Dunbar and wife, Cornelia.

Martha McGill, 49, and Annie McGill, 20, are on the 1900 Egypt Twsp, Ashley Co., AR, census in the HH of Eugene S. Paxton. Martha is a servant/housekeeper.

Martha McGill, 63, widow, LA SC SC; Annie Spillers, 32, divorced, LA LA LA, and chn: Wm. P., 9, John W., 4, and Rose Lee, 10-mths (all born AR) are on the 1910 Ward 2, Morehouse Parish, LA, census.

Any help with these folks would be greatly appreciated. VRB
