What is the connection?
1870 my gg grandmother Sarah Beck(alias Davidson/Irvine)m.to Thomas Beck registered one of their daughters as Maggie McGimpsey Beck.b.27 May 1870 Then a son William Beck B.9 April 1878 was registered by a Sarah McGimpsey. They also had a son Thomas b.18 Dec 1864.(my g grandfather)He went to New Zealand abt 1890 and worked for a McGimpsey in the Dansey Pass area in the South Island.
Sarah & Thomas also had another son James Davidson Beck B.1863 One of his children David kelly Beck b. 30 Oct 1894 was registered by a Martha McGimpsey.All this took place in Drumawhey Ireland.
Does any McGimpsey Family have a tie up with the Becks. We can't find out what happened to Maggey McGimpsey Beck anywhere in Ireland.
