Annie

The next time I am in the United Kingdom I promised my mother I will pop over to Bangor with her so we may have the opportunity to eventually catch up. There is no rush with the research however on your part. Having a son of seven and a daughter of four I quite realise the pressures.

Yes, e-mail, the Internet and this forum are fantastic ways of shrinking the world. I am fascinated by this worldwide clan surely linked however distantly by a common McGimpsey heritage.

My mother always says that Bangor / North Down is a small place. Your latest entry rather proves the point. As a (little) boy I remember walking down Main Street / High Street Bangor with my grandfather and him stopping to talk to every other person. Getting the paper was more of an art than a chore.

For now back to another balmy Perth night.

Richard
