Mathew: My Mary McGinty was also born in Jennings Co. abt. 1849. Her mother was Mary Maginty/McGinty. Her father was Michael McGinty. They went from Ireland to Canada to New York to Indiana. They are in the 1850, 1860 Indiana Census. I have a feeling (and my 82 year old mother confirms...yet can not prove) that my Mary was married more than once. My Mary's second husband was a Brennan who worked for the railroad and the ended up in Texas. She had X number of children...My grandmother was next to last. My mother has faint memories of her grandmother. They were Catholic. Does any of this compute?
