John J. McGinty - Pittsburgh after 1930
Posted by: Robert Engel (ID *****2625) Date: March 18, 2008 at 13:12:25

I'm trying to find information regarding my great grandfather, John J. McGinty. The last record of him was on 1930 Federal census documents; he was living with his daughter, Mercedes, her husband, William Engel, and their children on Alice St. in Pittsburgh. His son, John P. McGinty was also in residence.

Specifically, I'm trying to ascertain his date and place of death and his burial location.

His wife, Bridget, died sometime between 1920-1930, and I would be interested in knowing more about her death. I'd also like to verify her maiden name, which I think is Gallagher.

John and Bridget independently immigrated from Ireland in the 1880's and met and married in the Pittsburgh area. They lived in Sharpsburg and Monessen, Pennsylvania.

Thank You, in advance, for any information.
