Annmarie: I'm not sure if I sent you any info on Uncle Thomas McGinty. B. 1844 Conway CO. AR. son of Joseph
Jackson, Gr son of Robert & Deborah McGinty of Georgia.
Thomas served in the Civil War with the Union Army and
was married three times. Elizabeth Hammers-10/08/1862;
Mary F. Tarkington-12/25/2004; Lousia C. Tarkington-12/23/
1866. Had 13 children. Owned 640 Acres in Faulkner CO. AR
Matthews TWP. A Gen store, lumber mill, and a cotton gin.
D. 2/26/1916 of pneumonia and buried in McGinty Cemetery.
Thomas was a Christian man and he and son John Grundy built
the McGintytown Church in about 1912. I attended that church when a small boy and go back there several times a
year. We held our McGinty Family Reunion in the Church in
2007 & 2008. We had a great time!
