Someone hinted on the message board that David McGraw of South Carolina may be an ancestor of Dempsey McGraw. So I decided to search the South Carolina Archives. This is what I have found so far, it may help someone else.

Solomon & Edward bought 200 acres each in February & January of 1745 in Saxa-Gotha Township.(So they were in the area long before the Revolutionary War).
In 1759 David McGraw bought his 1st recorded property next door to Solomon.
Since there is no will on file for Solomon at the S.C. Archives we do not know the relationship.
Edward did leave a will which may be viewed at this address: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/sc/kershaw/wills/m2260001.txthttp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/sc/kershaw/wills/m2260001.txt
