Edward Macgrough (McGraw) by a 1741 deed Brunswick Co., Virginia Deed Book 2, pages 171-173 (FHL Film #0030641)
Edward McGraw wife was Obedience Hogan, a d/o William Hogan. At the time of the deed, William Hogan's daughters Obedience Macgrough (McGraw) and Mary Lauter (w/o Henry Lauter) sold to a James Turner lands of William's conveyed by a Richard Smith.James Turner was a son of Joseph Turner dec'd.I suspect that the families are all related in this deed.I wonder if Joseph Turner married a daughter of either Smith or Hogan and the lands of Richard Smith, being deeded to Richard Smith in Brunswick Co., SS of Meherinn River, in 1719 by Lieutenant Governor Alexander Spotswood per the body of this large deed.
