My great-great grandfather, James McGraw was born in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland in 1822 and emigrated to Baltimore, MD during the famine. He married Catherine McKenna, also an Irish immigrant in approx 1852. They had nine children, five boys and four girls. Some of their names were Nora, Annie, John, Charles, Edmund and William. Catherine died in 1876 and James remarried. I do not know his second wife's name. As far as I know they had only one child, a son whose name I do not have. James died in 1882 in Baltimore. His second wife remarried. Edmund was my great grandfather. He was born in Baltimore in 1874 and died there in 1943. He had three children, James in 1897, Helen in 1903 and Catherine in 1910. James was my grandfather and he had one child, Edmund, born in 1922. Edmund had ten children. James died in 1978 and Edmund died in 1985.
I do know the first James McGraw had a brother who lived in New York and a sister Sara who lived in PA. John McGraw, the famous baseball manager was his nephew. If you need any more information or can help me fill in some blanks in my lineage, I would appreciate it.
