Greetings TCC: My mother was a MCHALE of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton/Pittston,Pa. area . I have known that the area had attracted McHale's from the Mayo area . Her father , Thomas E. MCHALE was born in England abt 1894, but his father ,John MCHALE with his wife Mary MARTIN stopped in England on the way to America( John's brother Alfred MCHALE b.abt 1886,died at sea , and my guess is they were from Mayo . Have you ever come across them in your research ? Thank you , Joe McHugh , Cape Elizabeth, Maine,USA , jfmchugh@maine.rr.com
