My great great great grandmother, Mary Tighe, came to Ontario from Ireland in about 1850 with her daughters Dora, Jane, Ann, Jane, and Mary and her brother John McHale. Their uncle was a famous priest named John McHale.
It is possible that they were joining other McHale relatives or that others came later to join them. The daughters
married into families named Judge, Haley, Troy, and Jordan. Some moved to Michigan to the Mount Pleasant area.
They came from County Mayo after Mary Tighe was widowed. Her husband was James Tighe.
