While searching the internet for information about Archbiship John McHale of Tuam, I came across your posting. It caught my eye because I am related to the McHales of Lahardaun, Mayo, also. As I read down the page, I realized that we have the same information. My information also dates back to Walter MacHale sometime around 1775.
Whereas your grandmother is Bridget of William and Honor McHale, my great-grandfather was Bridget's brother Michael. Michael went on to marry Sabina Ruddy and they had five children: William Patrick (my grandfather), Matilda, Mary, Elizabeth, and Joseph. My grandfather William Patrick McHale married Jean Carol Gross on Jan. 11, 1947. They had four children: Timothy Patrick (my father), Kathleen, Bridget, and Christopher. I have a sister, Alison and my aunt Kathleen has three boys: Andrew, James Rudyard, and Christopher McIlvaine.
I have information regarding my grandfather's (William) brothers and sisters families but it is too much to put in this posting. Looking for any more information anyone might have.
