It seems I may have a match for you.My g g grandfather was Matthew McHale Married Catherine Brown (of Galway according to UK census of 1871 where she is incorrectly recorded as McCall) Children all born in Liverpool were MARGARET c1858 MARY c1859 ELLEN c1860(MY GG GRANDMOTHER) JOHN c1863 ROBERT c1868 MATTHEW c1871.
I know it does not tie in with MAYO but Galway is close geographically and all of the names crosscheck.
What do you know of your Catherine ? Which of the children does your line come down?
