I am the cousin of the Carol who originally posted the message about the McHale's. Catherine was our GGG-Grandmother and she was in fact married to Matthew McHale. Thank you for supplying her maiden name of Brown! That helps a lot. Her daughter Margaret (1858) married Thomas Morton in Liverpool and their daughter Ann (1876) was the mother of Carol's grandfather Joseph and my grandmother Margaret. Joseph emigrated to Vancouver where his family still lives and Margaret married a Black man from Barbados and moved to New York where we still live. There are still cousins in Liverpool but it is nice to widen the circle of the original family. Please post any other McHale information you may have.
