I have ancestors too from the archbishop's family and they moved from Ireland to Canada and then to Michigan. In Michigan they lived in the Mt. Pleasant area of Isabella County and are intermarried with Kanes. I think that the Kanes were also on the migration from Ireland to Canada to Michigan. My McHale is Mary McHale Tighe (James Tighe) and she was a niece to John. I do not know which brother was her father but certainly am trying to figure it out. It is likely Thomas or Edward. Are you aware of having any Kane relatives in Michigan?
