I have an Edward McHale, son of Patrick McHale and Mary Allen, who was christened on July 5 1865 in St. Martins New Brunswick. According to my sources, he was baptized as Edward McCail, sponsors John Murray and Margaret Murray. His siblings included Francis Xavier, Elizabeth, Honora, James, Patrick, and John. I do not have any additional information about Edward, but would appreciate learning about anything you find out.
