There were two Archelaus McHone's. The original Archelaus was found many times as Archibald McHone, b. 1745 New Kent County VA. After taking part in the Rev. War, he moved his family to Patrick County VA/Stokes Co. Nc. His son Archelaus was the Arche who was murdered on the fox hunt. There may a third Archelaus. I recall seeing an Archelaus McHone on a Civil War List once, but unfortunately did not copy it down or pursue it. If anyone knows about the third Arche, I would love to hear from you.
