Hi Frank
Josh was the older brother to my gg grandfather, Kim. Willard Thomas McHone wrote in the McHone newsletter that it was his belief that Micajah was married twice, but had no documented proof, other than the fact that the 1810 census showed 2 male children and 1 female child under 5 in his household. He believed these two males to be Josh and Kim. His great-grandfather, Thomas McHone said he had two half-brothers who stayed in N.C. when the rest of the family moved to Ky. There is a record of a marriage between Micajah and Nancy Hornsby, daughter of Thomas and Jemimah Hornsby, on Jan 18, 1807, in Patrick Co., Va. Micajah would have been 37 years old then so it stands to reason he was married before. Nancy Hornsby was born c. 1792 and died
c. 1835 in Madison Co., N.C.
Micajah was the son of Archibald, son of Sackfield/Sackville.
I know of two McHone reunions each year, one in Mt. Airy, NC is held the weekend after Mothers day (I think), the other is held the second weekend of August at the Pinebridge Inn in Spruce Pine, NC. That's this weekend if you can make it. Will contact you after I get back and exchange info.
