Origin of the name McKean
Seems to me from the study of Gaelic that McKean would come from Mac Iain pronounced Mac ee ine(long e, long i like in stein)meaning son of John, like the guy whose family was killed at the massacre at Glencoe.I am curious if McKeans who regularly read the list could confirm or reject this derivation.
