Wyman MacKechnie

Hi All;

My Great Grandmother Lucy Ethel Cotie shows up with a family of MacKecknie's in Onslow, Pontiac County, Quebec in the 1901 census as a domestic. She was working for William MacKechnie and Susanne Wyman Edey. William and Susanne had a son by the name of Wyman who was born about 1896. Susanne died not long after Wyman was born and my GGrandmother helped to raise Wyman. He was a premature baby and slept in a breadbox on the oven door to keep him warm.

What I am trying to find out is how true this story is? The original story was that both my Great Grandmother and Grandfather (Richie Mitchell and Lucy Ethel Cotie) raised Wyman, and I was assuming this was in Saskatchewan however, now I dont know how true this is.

If anyone knows of this story or has any information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time;
Kelly Mitchell
Calgary Alberta.
