John McKechnie

The John I am looking for was born in or near Paisley, Ontario in the 1860s. Son of Donald Alexander and Mary McKechnie. Siblings were Alexander, Christina, Annabelle, Jennet, Sarah, Mary, Angus, Flora, and Kate.

John's siblings (Alexander, Christina Crawford, Annabelle Pickins/Perkins, Jennet Storey) left Paisley about 1880 for Chippewa County Michigan. Parents followed a few years later with remaining children. My problem is the 1890 Census for Michigan was lost and I have never been able to pick up John's trail. Did he remain in Canada, go somewhere else, move with parents, or die?

Any help finding John or descendants greatly appreciated!

Oh, John's parents died a month apart in the autumn of 1886 at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
