I would like to make contact with any McKee/McKie/McKey/ Mackie descendant of Robert McKee Sr. B. Abt. 1722 and lived in Rowan County, NC. Robert was one of the 14 original members of the Jersey Settlement Baptist church established in 1752.

I descend through his son Theodore McKee and wife Eleanor McGuire who married there Dec. 2, 1789 and their son Rowan McKee b. Abt. 1800-1805 and married Susanna Winkler in 1825 then Davidson co. NC. Rowan and Susanna moved to Tipton co. TN about 1826-27 along with mother Eleanor McKee now widowed and sister Sarah Frances (Fanny) McKee.
Sarah married Levi Moore and was living next door to Rowan McKee in 1830 Census for Tipton co. TN. Eleanor was a short distance away. Levi and Sarah moved to Searcy County, AR. And shown in the 1850 census for that county.

Rowan and Susanna moved to Fayette County, TN by 1840 and is shown in the census as Roan McKee. Rowan must have died by 1850 as Susanna age 47 NC is widowed living in the First District of Shelby County, TN in 1850. Here is how the census looked for her family.

The oldest son John shown above is my line and Elizabeth is his wife. In 1850 John McKee married Elizabeth Fleming in Shelby co. TN. Elizabeth is the daughter of Archibald and Dorcas Howard Fleming who is living near by in that census.

I cannot locate Susanna in 1860 however I found John and Elizabeth in Chicot co. Arkansas and Franklin and Theodore across the border in Carroll Parrish, Louisiana. Theodore Nick name "Dora" married and remained in Carroll parrish but Franklin "Frank" moved to Chicot co. Ar. Where his brother John was by 1870. Here is where Frank and Theodore signed up for the Civil War.

Their brother John died about 1867 and in 1870 Elizabeth McKee widow was living in Royal Twp. White county, AR. Next door to Archibald Fleming her father.
