Hi McKees,
Boy, I sure find a lot of Thomas McKees here, but so far, I don't seem to see the one I'm looking for. Please help, someone!
Thomas McKee, b. 1735, N. Ireland; d. 1780. Came to Cumberland Co., PA sometime before the Revolution. Married to Mary ______, 1740-1780. They had 3 children I know of: John, b. 1761, Robert, b. 1763, Thomas, b. 1765.
John and Robert married sisters: John to Martha Hindman, and Robert to Betty Hindman. I don't have marriage info on Thomas (jr).
John and Martha had 8 children, by then in Perry Co., PA. One of John/Martha children was James McKee, b. ca 1790. James married Sarah McKnight in PA; they had 5 children, and ended up in Shelby Co., OH.
One of James/Sarah children was Maria McKee. She married David Kirkwood Gillespie.
I have more, down from Maria/David Gillespie, a bunch on the Gillespies, some on the Hindmans, but I'll stop here. Does anyone recognize this Thomas McKee?? Would love to get further back on his line, and find out the identity of his wife, Mary.
