Larry, Your letter i s so out in left field I think you're pulling my leg. I don't mean to be rude, but what do these "famous" people possibly have to do with a Ferryman and his family? Since you live in the vicinity, there is more meaning than to me, but I am wading in deep water trying to find the father of one little frontiersman possibly related to a Ferryman, whose family has only a little corner in history. In the first place, I don't think the David McKees are from the south, but from Eastern Pa, Philly area. And there is nothing in the research I've done for 10 years, to make me believe we're on the wrong end.Old Davids sons, Capt. David and Robert were in the Revol. at major battles with St. Clair and George Washington (Brandywine, Boston Tea Party etc.) as was my Sgt. Samuel McKee. I believe John, with the help of his dying father, David, was the founder of McKpt. I have recd' a letter saying it was thought Capt. Robt. McKee was head of Washingtons secret police in Alexander the Tory's area of McKeesrocks. Thanks, and good luck with your search. I'm not prepared to take on the doings of people I read about in my history book. Donna Notify Administrator about this message?
