glad to hear from someone else who is interested in putting together the genealogy of this island clan.The local history alongside this family genealogy shows the families moved off farms by ruthless landlords even until the present day. In Kildonan you can still see the runrig fields above bennan head unfarmed for over a century, the empty villages of Smauraig and Auchelfine, with Mckelvie
farmers recorded in Kilmory graveyard whose descendents form a diaspora across the globe.Always looking for more information of the many thousands of people who have this heritage
