Walter McKew - born London, emigrated to Canada?

I'm looking for any information on my great-uncle, Walter McKew, who was born in Holborn, London c.1885 and emigrated (we think) to Canada before the First World War. His father was John McKew, a Holborn Fishmonger, who was born in 1857 and died in 1923. It may help if I point out that the family seem to have adopted the "McKew" spelling, in preference to the earlier "McHugh", after John married in 1877.
