John McKinlay of Perth, immigrated 1775
John McKinlay emigrated from Perth in 1775, served as artificer in a CT regiment during the Rev War, settled in Mayfield NY. Searching for descendants, particularly of son James, who went to Painesville area of the Western Reserve about 1812 or so. Some descendants ended up in Chicago, some Michigan [Beaver Island, Mackinac].
