Mackinlay Surname DNA Project

This is just a brief note to indicate to all Mackinlays (including spelling variants)that two days ago a Mackinlay Surname DNA Project has been established at Family Tree DNA of Houston, TX. I am most excited to apply cutting edge technology to genealogical investigation, so that we might establish common ancestry into the mists of Scotland's history.

A plethora of information is available on the use of DNA testing in this cause, and I encourage any Mackinlays (in particular) to visit and to seek more information on participation in this most satisfying endeavor. BTW, the database of DNA samples at this company alone exceeds 17,000 individuals with greater than 6,000 unique surnames.

Regards aye,

P. S. A visit to will reward those of you who are interested in Mackinlay heritage.
