Hi Sally

You are quite lucky that your family come from Scotland as all their records are online. The website is www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk (it is a fee paying website but it is all the original certificates and it is quite easy to search). If you are lucky enough to get back to pre 1855 then the LDS family search website has most of the records for Scotland. If I can be of any more help let me know.
