From the death register of my g-g-grandmother, Agnes Larrigan, nee McKinley: Agnes Larrigan, married to James Larrigan, coal miner Died April 6, 1887, Lenymore Hospital, Salisbury Place, Edinburgh (usual residence Nidday) F, 52 years Parents: William MacKinlay, coal miner, deceased, and Agnes MacKinlay, m.s. Wilson, deceased Cancer of stomach, 5 months, as cert. by Frank Tromp, M.C. Informant: James Larrigan, his mark, widower, Nidday R.W. Charlton, Assist. Registrar, Witness Registered April 7, 1887, at Edinburgh I've always thought at William and Agnes MacKinlay were Scots. Where are they from in Ireland, and what is your source? Very interesting, as our James Larrigan came from Ireland to Scotland to mine coal, and there he met and married Agnes MacKinlay, so we always assumed that their children were Scots Irish. Thanks a million, Patsy Notify Administrator about this message?
