Hi Andrew McLaren,
Although I only saw this message today, I know that 2 years have passed since you posted it and hope that you are still taking an interest in genealogy.
I am afraid that I don't know anything at the moment about the Andrew McLaren that you are interested in.
However, I believe that we may be related. My GGrandfather Henry Moncrieff McLaren was married to a Great Aunt Agnes Kennedy; one of their children was Duncan McLaren- born 1860 in Mearns, Renfrewshire, Scotland. When Agnes Kennedy died, he married her niece and my GGrandmother Agnes Boyd. One of their children was my Grandmother Mary McKinnon McLaren.
I hope that you might possibly solve the mystery of the Portugal connection in my McLaren family tree.My mother used to tell me when I was little that her mother Mary McLaren spent some time in Portugal.
If we are related, is it possible that you know anything about the time that your relative spent in Portugal.
