How very interesting!I am researching Robert Freeman McClearn/McLearn b. 1824 Queens Co., NS who arrived with family in Hardin County 1856. The patriarch of the family James McClearn arrived with wife Isabella with 500 or so others from Ulster, Ireland in 1761 to Nova Scotia with Col. Alexander McNUTT.The name in NS records has been spelled various ways including: McLARNON/McLERNON/MCLARN/McLAREN/MCLERRNON, ect. and finally McCLEARN.
Perhaps there is a connection WAY back to Ulster, Ireland?
Just thought I'd comment because it struck me as very weird LOL,
