I think I may be a shirt-tail relative to your McLarty family. My gggg-grandfather was John McLarty, Sr. (1776-1853)resided in Mecklenburg, NC; died in GA; was married to Mary Wilson, they are buried in the McLarty family cemetary in Campbell Co., GA. Their dau. was Mary Caroline "Polly" McLarty (1809-1885)who married my ggg-grandfather John F. Morris (1801-1879) in Mecklenburg, NC, resided in Douglas Co., GA, then moved to Cullman Co., AL where they are buried.Their son Edwin "Sandy" Alexander Morris (1837-1914) m. Permelia Camp (1839-1913)& resided at Morristown on Chapel Hill Rd.& are both buried in the Douglasville City Cemetary in GA. Their son Joseph Thomas Morris (1864? - 1920)m. Ada Lisette Tapp (1866-1921)& are buried in unmarked graves in Douglasville City Cemetary. Their son Jeff Lee Morris (1895-1953) m. Ruby Lillian McTyre(1896-1932)& are buried at Beaulah Baptist Church in Douglasville, GA. Their son Chester Hugh Morris (1925-1992) was my father, he was born in Lithia Springs, GA. He is buried at Trinity Memorial Cemetary in Waldorf, MD. I am still researching my McLarty, Morris, and McTyre (could use help with this side) families. I live in WA state and have been trying to piece the puzzles together for some time, it's been slow going.
I would love to hear from any relatives no matter how distant.
