MARRIED -- in this city, on Thursday evening, 11th inst., at the First Presbyterian Church, by Rev. J.A. ANDERSON; Mr. A.S. RYDER to Miss Sarah P. McLELLAN, all of this city. [For a kind remembrance of the printer, amidst all the joys which surround the event above chronicled, we tender our acknowledgments and the best wishes of the entire force of the ‘Argus’ establishment.] [see story below]
WEDDING in CHURCH -- The Presbyterian church was the scene of a most interesting occasion last evening, that of the nuptials of Mr. A.S. RYDER and Miss Sarah McLELLAN, by Rev. J.A. ANDERSON. The church was crowded with as brilliant an audience as ever assembled upon a like occasion in this city. The bride and groom are the centre of a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, who listened with breathless attention to the words which fell from the Pastor’s lips, and which united for life the hopes and fortunes of those whom they warmly esteemed. The happy couple have our best wishes for a future ripe with years and secure in a long lifetime of unalloyed happiness.
