Hi Lois,
I noticed you have done some deep searching and have quite a bit of valuable info for others.I am searching for a Rufus McLendon who married a Glass (don't know her first name - daughter of Sam Glass) and lived in Cedar Springs (county???) GA during the 40's and early 50's.They had 3 children I think (2 sons, 1 daughter - Oliver Harris and Clarence, don't know the daughters name) Oliver later married Gladys Defore (my mother-in-law)in 1945 and they had Jimmy Steve (my husband) in Macon, Bibb Co. GA in 1946. Shortly thereafter, several years I'd say, the McLendons moved to Davenport Florida where Rufus opened a drygoods store. (Oliver and Gladys divorced by 1950 I believe). If you come across any of these names in your search would you mind letting me know? I appreciate any help you can give me. I'm new at this. Thanks! Wyvette
