From the obituary of Annie McLin Gillespie, 1860, Gordon Co., GA....she was born abt. 1774 in Guilford Co., NC. Husband believed to be Thomas Gillespie. The two signed as witnesses to a will of Robert Martin in the Abbeville, SC area in 1810. Ann Glaspy was listed in DeKalb Co., GA on the 1830 Census. Three of her daughters were married to JONES brothers--closely associated with Methodist Church. Their father was Robert Frazier Jones who was Methodist minister in GA....near the Decatur, GA area. There may be an ANDERSON connection to the Gillespie or McLin family, for the name was used often by the family. Ann H. Gillespie, her dau., married John S. SAVAGE in SC and by 1840 they were in Winston Co., MS. Most of her sisters who married JONES stayed in GA except for one who moved to Erath Co., TX after War Betw.States.
