Could you be looking for my ancestor, James C(Clack) Maclin. He was in Lincoln Co in 1830, Wayne Co. 1840 and Hardin Co 1850 and thereafter. He was married to Susan(never found her last name) and they had children:
John (my ancestor) Lawson (Landon) Sarah, age 21 in 1850, Susan, James,Henry, Eliz. and Samentha. I have had contact with dec. of Eliz. and Samentha, and have a pretty good chart on the Maclins going back to early Virginia.
