I just noticed your posting (1880 census) with "Thomas Hobbs grandson"

I know the lineage of the Maclins/McLins in Limestone Co. AL. Rebecca Maclin married Ira Hobbs and had Thomas Hubbard Hobbs. Her father was Thomas Maclin/McLin. The generations seem to be a bit off because my Thomas Hobbs served in the CSA. But the naming.... Are we looking at a connection here? If so, I have this line way back.
