CAPT. McLIN - SPANISH AMERICAN WAR
Posted by: James K. McLin Date: March 11, 2002 at 04:39:48
  of 187

Does anyone know of a Capt. McLin who served in the Spanish American War? There is a poem, by James E. Payne, Captain of company B of the late Fifth Missouri Volunteers, published in THE KANSAS CITY WORLD on Sunday January 8, 1899 concerning a Capt. McLin. This poem/story was an actual occurence in Chickamauga Park, Tennessee during the summer of 1898. Chickamauga Park was one of the staging areas for troops about to be sent to either Cuba or the Philippines.
