I would be very much interested in anything you find on this Thomas. I found the distribution of Robert Lynn McLin's estate, 14 May 1832, and his children, apparently, were Eleanor (wife of William Mathes), Thomas, and Clenoh McLin. Clenoh might have been his wife instead of his child. The settlement doesn't mention relationships, it only provides these three with equal money, so I am assuming they are his immediate family. Eleanor is still in Washington Co. TN in 1880, but I didn't find Clenoh or Thomas in that county after this estate was settled. Blount county is so close by, your Thomas might be the son or grandson of this Robert Lynn McLin.

I think this Robert might have been a brother of my ancestor, Alexander McLin, but I can't prove it yet. However, Alexander named one of his sons Robert Lynn. Alexander's line, however, doesn't include a Thomas for the right time frame.
