My g-grandmother, Mary McMackin Breen, b. 1872, Co. Tyrone, was one of 9(per the 1911 Irish Census) children born to Patrick and Isabella (Gormley/ly)McMackin.
Three siblings came to NYC-James(d. 1914), Patrick(d. 1942),and Margaret(Maggie)McMackin(Campbell).
James married a Mary Mahoney in Bennington, Vt. in 1896-two sons,
1)John(b. about 1897, served as a USN Pharmacists' Mate from abt. 1923 to 194?, d. 1968, Richmond, Va.)
2)Francis(Frank)b. about 1898
Mary may have died abt. 1903, James married another Mary, had a son,
3)James jr. b. abt. 1907.

Margaret(Maggie)married Thomas Campbell(b. Co. Fermanagh abt. 1883)-lived in Brooklyn, NY on Marion St. Two sons, Thomas(b. abt 1912) and James(b. abt. 1921). James may have been a NYC policeman, 1940's-1960's.

If any of this rings a bell, I'm at jambre1@yahoo.com
